Dress Code

The overall dress code for Dream Dance is to dress respectfully. Be respectful of yourself as well as others that may be interacting with. This can include fellow students, teachers, parents and observers of class. If you have questions regarding the dress code please feel free to ask your instructor or contact us. 

Creative Movement and Combo Classes
  • Pink Tights
  • Leotard (color of choice)
  • Ballet Shoes
  • Tap Shoes (COMBO ONLY)
  • Students may wear skirts or shorts.
  • Boys- sports shorts or black pants, t-shirt, black ballet shoes.
 
Please have student's hair pulled back from the face.
Acro/Tumbling
  • Leotard (Preferred)
  • Comfortable gym wear (shorts, tanks, tee-shirts) Please nothing too loose fitting, as it will get in the way of movements. 
  • Bare feet in studio
 
Tap
  • Tap Shoes
  • Student may wear dance clothing of choice, either shorts or pants. Student must wear tights when wearing dance shorts.
  • Please no jeans.
 
Please have student's hair pulled back from the face.
Ballet- Levels 1 and up
  • Pink Tights
  • Leotard (color of choice)
  • Ballet Shoes
  • Skirts or shorts are at the teacher's descrection.
  • Boys: Black dance pants, White fitted t-shirt, black ballet shoes.
  • Hair must be in a bun (or if too short for a bun pulled back from the face)
 
 Jazz, Contemporary,
Turns & Leaps, Poms 
  • Form Fitting Clothing 
    • ​This includes pants, capris, shorts, Dance Tops- Please see teacher for further explanation or clarification
  • Tan Jazz shoes required for Jazz and Poms, barefoot, or shoe of teacher's choice  for other classes. 
 
Please have student's hair pulled back from the face.
Hip Hop
  • Clothes you can move in ( no jeans)
    • ​This includes pants, capris, Dance Tops, t-shirts. Pants/capris are preferred over shorts because we tend to do slides on the floor that are easier with pants or capris. Please see teacher for further explaination or clarification
  • Tennis shoes- these shoes must be for the studio only. No outside shoes allowed.
