September Newsletter 2022

Happy September, everyone! The first week of classes went great and we are so excited to have all the dancers back with us!

THERE WILL NOT BE CLASS ON LABOR DAY!

I’ve added a few helpful resources and links below 😊

Our studios are organized by the color of the walls! We have a teal studio, purple studio, and coral studio. The purple and teal studios have viewing rooms, but the coral studio unfortunately doesn’t. If you want to watch your dancer in the coral studio, we have a tv in the front room that displays live footage from all the studios.

Linked is the page that outlines our dress codes: https://www.dreamdancestudios.com/dress-code

Here is the schedule with the dance studio and teacher for each class (this is also posted by the front help desk):

As a reminder: please make sure that you come up to the door to grab your dancer or you make sure someone from the studio can see you picking them up! We won’t let the kids leave the studio until we know that their parents / guardian / correct carpool are here for them.

Meet our new teachers:

Ms. Danielle

Danielle Archuleta is originally from Littleton, Colorado. She received her early training at Belliston Academy of Ballet and went on to attend summer intensive programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Miami City Ballet, where she continued her training in their pre-professional program under the direction of Lordes Lopez and Arantxa Ochoa. In Miami, she had the opportunity to perform Balanchine's Western Symphony and Valse Fantaisie and a principal role in Ballabile (from Napoli). Upon graduating from Miami City Ballet, she joined City Ballet of San Diego, where she performed in Balanchine's The Four Temperaments, Serenade, and danced the role of Clara in Elizabeth Wistrich's The Nutcracker. In 2019, Danielle accepted a position with Ballet Austin II where she performed in several productions, including Stephen Mills' The Nutcracker and Joshua Manculich's Menagerie. Danielle is currently dancing with Denver-based contemporary ballet company, Zikr Dance Ensemble, as well as a freelance dancer.

Ms. Ally

Hello! My name is Ally Anderson. I am currently a senior at Green Mountain High School, and I am so thrilled to be able to teach Ballet 1, Ballet/tap 1 & 2, and Jazz 1 this year. I started dancing when I was about 3 years old in Utah. My mom was a dancer and teacher for a portion of her life, so she put me in dance. I moved to Wyoming, continued training in ballet and then started Irish dancing at the age of 7. I did competitive Irish dance for another 7 years, getting to go to nationals several times and almost qualify for worlds. I continued to practice basic ballet training throughout that time to maintain good technique. When I was 14, I stopped Irish dancing and started ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and ballet again. I joined my high school dance team in Wyoming for a little under a year, and danced with a studio. I moved to Colorado about 3 years ago, and found Dream. This will be my third year on the dance team, and I am so sad about that. Dream has absolutely been the best studio I’ve ever danced at with the most welcoming and encouraging environment. I am so excited to share my love of dancing with your students this year!

Ms. Carlie

My name is Carlie Fajardo! I am a senior at Golden High School. I have been dancing for 15 years and have danced at Dream Dance Studios for 5 years. I have danced competitively for 11 years and I am on the competition team here at Dream. Dancing has been such a huge passion of mine since a young age and I can’t wait to share my passion with all my students this year!

Ms. Adriana

Hello, my name is Adriana Vasquez and I am currently a senior at Golden High school. This year I am teaching pre-school hip hop. I started dance when I was 3 years old and then started competing Pom as a freshman. I took classes at Dream throughout high school to improve my technique. Last year I joined the competitive team at the studio and I am so excited to continue dancing with them this year!

Meet the new front office staff:

Jenna is in the office Wednesday-Saturday!

Hi, I’m Jenna and I’m an online student at Colorado State. I danced for twelve years when I was younger and I’m so excited to be helping out around the studio! Can’t wait to get to know everyone!

Hannah is in the office Mondays and Tuesdays again this year

If you are in need of some new dance gear:

If you are new to the dance world and want to learn a little bit more about it – here is an article outlining the different styles of dance!

We offer ballet, tap, hip hop, pointe, lyrical, and jazz. We also offer adult classes, so please reach out if you are interested!

As always, please do not hesitate to contact the studio if you have any questions or concerns about anything! We love to hear from you!
